Shaun Morris Aka Stakka started out as a DJ in 1989 and producing UK rave music from 1991. Most of the music back then was DIY - pressed and released on white labels with a limited circulation. From the start of the Drum & Bass movement in 1993 through to 1997 Stakka worked with K.Tee, recording with the Liftin 'Spirits and then later the Ram Records labels, having a total of 9 releases.

In 1997, Stakka + Skynet formed the Drum & Bass label and studio for Underfire Recordings, sister label to Audio Blueprint and Ultra Violet recordings. In the years that the labels have been running, they have released a total of 40 x twelve inch singles, Three full length albums and five compilation CD's. The distinct sound that they created for the labels was later referred to as Neuro Funk. The duo and their labels are credited for playing a key part in this sound and movement within the Drum & Bass scene.

Stakka + Skynet remix highlights included the likes of Morcheeba, Africa bambaataa. Highlights on the labels include the first album project 'Voyager' presented on Audio Blueprint in November of '98, and their next album project entitled 'Blazin', released on Underfire in August of '99. June 2001, saw the release of the first solo artist album from Stakka & Skynet entitled "Clockwork" on Underfire Recordings. The album contained 11 songs from Stakka & Skynet. The clockwork album is now considered a Neuro Funk classic. The album also includes a number of collaborations with top artists within the D n B scene including Keaton of the Usual Suspects (Renegade Hardware), Shimon of Ram Trilogy (Ram Records), DJ Red, K. Tee, DJ Friction, and Kemal & Rob Data (formerly Konflict, Renegade Hardware).

Stakka & Skynet have been producing and DJ’ing together since 1997. Since ’97 the duo toured the world DJ’ing in the underground music scene, promoting their albums and labels and spreading the neuro funk sound.

Stakka moved to New York in 2002 and started his own imprint ‘Cargo Industries’ - an outlet for his solo D n B work. Now in 2012 he considers himself to be a producer with hugely diverse taste, but one who is still grounded in the electronic music movement. Recently he has produced and co-written with punk bands, pop and indie artists, hip hop artist, solo singers and songwriters, scoring for TV & film. He also still continues to work in the underground scene as a solo artist and with fellow electronic artists.

Some of the highlights include the Ror-Shak ‘Deep’ album, co-written with DJ DB for KOCH Records. The indie electronic act RFA and album co-written with Sage Rader. Co-writing and producing the punk pop band Acey Slade & The Dark Party. The Brooklyn Social album co-written and produced with Australian pop singer Hugh Wilson.
